98 CKHD / Huber Radio Ltd. – General On-Air Contest Rules & Regulations
These General Contest Rules and Regulations apply to all on-air contests administered by Huber Radio Inc., owners and operators of 98 CKHD-FM Assiniboia, Saskatchewan’s first HD Radio station, unless otherwise stated for a specific promotion (the “Contest”). Some contests may also be conducted in partnership with external sponsors or solely sponsored by third parties.
Huber Radio Inc. runs multiple live on-air contests on 98 CKHD and affiliated stations throughout the year. Specific contest periods, durations, and participation times will be communicated by the on-air host at the time of the promotion.
Contests are open to legal residents of Western Canada, Montana, and North Dakota (excluding residents of Quebec) who are the age of majority in their province or state of residence as of the first day of the Contest Period. Employees, agents, and representatives of Huber Radio Inc., including its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies, and prize suppliers (collectively, the “Excluded Individuals”), as well as immediate family and household members of the Excluded Individuals, are not eligible. Additionally, anyone who has won a prize from 98 CKHD or any other Huber Radio Inc. station within the last 30 days is ineligible.
Instructions for entry are provided by the on-air host. Participants may be asked to:
Identify a song, sound, or answer a trivia question
Call in to qualify or be the specified caller
Visit www.myassiniboia.com to enter online
Send a text message to a designated number as part of a “Text to Win” contest
To win, a participant must:
(i) meet all eligibility criteria;
(ii) correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question; and
(iii) sign and return a Huber Radio Inc. Declaration and Release Form.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries and the nature of the contest.
No purchase is required to enter or win any contest on 98 CKHD or affiliated Huber Radio Inc. stations.
Prize types and approximate retail values (ARVs) will be announced during the Contest. Prizes may include, but are not limited to: concert tickets, movie passes, restaurant gift cards, and merchandise. Prizes must be picked up within 30 days at the designated station and are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
By participating, winners consent to the use of their name, location, voice, image, and statements by Huber Radio Inc. and 98 CKHD for promotional purposes without compensation.
All decisions by Huber Radio Inc. staff and contest judges are final and binding. In the event of a dispute, these written rules will prevail.
Any attempt to tamper with or interfere with the Contest process will result in immediate disqualification. Legal action may be pursued.
Huber Radio Inc. is not responsible for technical failures affecting participation or communication, including phone line issues, website problems, data loss, or third-party interference.
Huber Radio Inc. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any contest without notice for any reason. Prize substitutions may be made at the company’s discretion.
By entering, participants release Huber Radio Inc., 98 CKHD, and their partners, employees, and affiliates from any liability or loss resulting from participation or prize use.
Contests are void where prohibited and governed by applicable laws. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Regina, Saskatchewan.
If any provision of these rules is deemed invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
